Clear Lake Township Land Conservancy in Steuben County, Indiana


Conservancy Open House

The Clear Lake Township Land Conservancy is having an Open House at the Yacht Club this Saturday July 12 from 6-9PM. Bring the family. Free admission. Activities for the kids. Appetizers from Caruso’s, Mad Anthony Brewing Company, The Waterfront Bistro, and YoYo. Cash bar. Open to all township residents, Yacht Club membership not required.

Pete Hippensteel and Dr. Bruce Kingsbury will be speaking at the Conservancy Open House.

Pete Hippensteel is technical Vice President of Steuben County Lakes Council and Professor Emeritus from Trine University. Pete has provided water quality information to our Clear Lake community over the years. Pete will discuss blue/green algae and its impact on our lake’s water quality.

Dr. Kingsbury has dedicated much of his professional life to the conservation of endangered reptiles, especially snakes. His areas of expertise include habitat requirements, population viability, and habitat restoration and management. Bruce will speak to us about Clear Lake’s ecology and the importance of wetlands.
